오늘은 City Rally 때 방문했던 Kungsträdgatan에 있는 야외 아이스스케이팅장에서 같이 스케이팅을 하는 행사가 있었다. 아침부터 비바람이 몰아쳐서 무지 춥지 않을까, 또 행사가 취소되어 버린 건 아닐까 걱정했는데 막상 가서 스케이트를 타니 그리 춥지는 않았다.
Today, we had an ice-skating event at the outdoor ice-skating bowl which is nearby of Kungsträdgatan where I visited during the city rally. I worried if the event would cancelled or it would be too cold, because it rained and was very windy from the morning. It was not so cold as I expected, however, after beginning skating and warming up.

스케이트를 마지막으로 타본 것이 대략 6년 전. 아마 중학교 때쯤이었을 거다. 분당 어딘가에 있는 큰 실내 스케이팅장에 친구들하고 갔었던가 하는 기억이 있는데, 둔한 운동신경에도 불구하고 대략 5분여 만에 옛날에 배웠던 것을 기억해내어 한 번도 넘어지지 않고(!) 그럭저럭 탈 수 있었다. 심지어 몇몇 중국 여학생들에게 간단한 기본기를 가르쳐주기도.. (...)
The last time I skated is about 6 years ago. Maybe during my middle school ages. I remember, somewhere in Boondag, there were an indoor ice-skating bowl which I visited with my friends. Despite of my dull exercise skills, I could recover my memories about skating and didn't fall down any once. Even more, I taught some of Chinese girls  basics of skating.

스케이트를 타고 와서, 카이스트에서 온 교환학생(어제 도착함)인 동일이의 수강신청을 도와주고(컴퓨터를 가져오지 않았다고 함), Jiang Hua와 함께 저녁을 해먹었다. 반찬까지 만든 것은 아니고, 어제 했던 밥이 대충 3인분 정도 남아서 그거랑 샐러드, 김치, 집에서 싸온 장조림·콩자반 등과 함께 한국식 밥을 먹었다. 벌써 위장이 빵에 적응한 것인지 아니면 쌀이 한국 것과 달라서 그런지, 속은 편하지만 소화가 빨리 되지는 않은 것 같다. 아무튼 매우 맛있게 먹었다. (이러다가 이거 아시안 마트에 가든지 집에서 더 공수해야 되는 건 아닐지...)
After skating, I helped another exchange student from KAIST, Dong-il, and made dinner with him and Jiang Hua. We ate rice which I cooked yesterday, salads, kimchi, and some other food brought from Korea such as 'jangjorim' (pork with soy sauce) and 'congjaban ' (black beans with soy sauce). But it was not digested fast, I think, my stomach and bowels might be adjusted to breads already. :P Anyway it was very delicious. (Perhaps I should bring more food from Korea or go to Asian market.)

그런 다음 저녁 7시부턴 학생회에서 스웨덴 영화를 보여주는 행사가 있었다. 영화 제목은 'Together'. 1975년의 스톡홀름을 배경으로, 새로운 가족 구성원이 생기면서 생겨나는 에피소드들 및 가족의 가치에 대한 재발견을 주제로 하는 영화였다. 전에도 텔레비전에서 기득권층에 대해 집안 물건을 온통 흩뜨려놓는 테러를 자행하는 청년들에 대한 독일 영화를 꽤나 인상깊게 본 기억이 있는데, 이 영화는 그보다는 좀더 가벼운 주제를 다루면서도 유럽 영화 특유의 맛을 잘 보여주고 있었다.
Then from 7pm, there was an movie night event held by the student union. The movie title was 'Together'. Its temporal background was 1975 and spatial background was Stockholm. The subject is related to loves between family members and rediscover of values of family. Actually, I've seen a German movie impressively which introduced a couple of young guys who made terror on some vested people. The movie mentioned lighter subject but showed the traits of European movies as well.

영화를 보면서 특이했던 부분은 성(性)에 관한 부분이다. 다른 가족과 함께 살게 되면서 레즈비언과 게이의 속성이 나타나고 묘한(?) 관계를 맺는 부분들이 적나라하게 묘사된다. Lappis 커뮤니티 사이트의 love 파티 공지사항을 보아도 그렇고 유럽 쪽 애들이 확실히 성에 대해 개방적인 것 같다;  이게 좋다 나쁘다 단정할 수는 없겠으나 아무튼 가장 큰 문화적 차이 중에 하나일 것이다.
The very strange thing on the movie was sex. Living with other family, some of them exposed their hidden properties like lesbian and gay, and this situation was expressed without any filtering. As like an announcement of love party in Lappis community, I think Europeans are very open to sexual things. It may be impossible to decide whether it is good or not, but it would be the main cultural difference.

아무튼 이제 교환학생들 얼굴도 대충 익혀가고, 슬슬 수업 준비를 시작해야 할 때인 것 같다.
After all, I'm becoming familliar with other exchange students, and it's the time to prepare for my courses.
